Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Official Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR) Policy

The most restrictive policies apply to permits booked directly through the official CTR website (https://jimcorbett.co). Bookings for safaris (Jeep/Canter) and Forest Rest House (FRH) night stays are generally non-refundable.

Service Cancellation/Refund Policy
Day Visit & Safari Permits No cancellation or refunds. Safari and permit amounts are non-refundable once booked.
Night Stay (FRH Bookings) No refunds for cancellations.
Rainy Season (June 1 – Nov 14) Bookings are provisional and may be canceled at short notice due to weather conditions or road damage. No refunds are given in these cases.
Disruption of Entry No refunds if entry is disrupted due to natural causes. Partial or full refunds may be issued if entry is disrupted due to factors beyond CTR’s control.

For Tour Packages/Accommodation (Excluding Government Permits):

Time Period Before Arrival Typical Refund/Charge
30 or more days 75% – 90% refund (or a small percentage of the total tour cost is deducted, e.g., 10%)
15 to 29 days 25% – 70% retention of the total tour cost.
7 to 14 days 40% retention, or no refund but adjustment/credit for a future booking.
Less than 7 days / No Show No Refund (100% retention).

The cancellation and refund policies for Jim Corbett National Park vary significantly depending on whether you book directly through the official Jim Corbett website or through a third-party travel agent/booking site.


For Safari Permits (Jeep/Canter/Elephant):

  • Safari booking amounts are typically non-refundable, non-transferable, and cannot be rescheduled once they are confirmed, as per the rules set by the Forest Department.
